World Ducati Week 2016 is not only an opportunity to celebrate 90 years of the Borgo Panigale factory, but also the time for the presentation of the exciting 1299 Panigale S Anniversario, special limited version of the Italian superbike.
Produced in just 500 units, the Ducati 1299 Panigale S Anniversario was unveiled at the WDW 2016, that took place in recent days at the “Marco Simoncelli” Misano World Circuit, under the leadership of an exceptional testimonial, the former MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner. This model offers exclusive technical content and a livery inspired by that of the Ducati racing bikes, with fairing in white, black and Ducati red and gold rims.
Among other features of this bike, then here is the upper triple clamp and the steering bushings, both made of aluminum alloy and fully realized for machining from solid. As for the on-board technology, the Ducati 1299 Panigale S Anniversario can count on Bosch Cornering ABS and on the new EVO version of the Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), which lead to higher levels the performance and safety of the Bologna sports bike.
Equipped with aluminum monocoque chassis, the Ducati superbike is powered by twin engine Superquadro with 1.285cc and 205 HP, also equipped with the EBC (Engine Brake Control) system, that can optimize the stability of the vehicle even in the event of “extreme” cornering inputs, while the suspension system relies on Ducati Electronic suspension (DES) and Smart Öhlins EC.
If all this is not enough, then it is good to know that at the time of purchase of this bike you will be provided with a special racing kit, consisting of Akrapovic Racing exhaust, aluminum cover and charger. Available from mid-July, the Ducati 1299 Panigale S Anniversary will be priced (in Italy) at 29,590 euros (ex-dealer).
