After the sketches seen in recent days, Kia has released the first official images of the future Picanto, the third generation of the famous and innovative supermini that brought the spirit and personality of Kia Motors in the A segment worldwide. The design has been developed in partnership between the Design Centers in Korea (Namyang) and Europe (Frankfurt), and the result emphasizes the creative ability and the personal and youthful approach in this segment.
This new generation offers even more incisive lines and, as show images relating to the sporty version “GT-Line”, a more important presence on the road. The wheelbase extended by 15 mm (from 2.385 to 2.400 mm) allowed to push the front wheels even more towards the end of the car, thus accentuating the feeling of solidity and stability. The new color palette helps to emphasize personal aesthetics.
Inside, the equally innovative and sophisticated design defines a well-kept interior, spacious, with exceptional possibilities. In the middle of the dashboard we see the large “floating” touchscreen that manages all the infotainment functions.
The new Kia Picanto will bring to market content further evolved in the supermini sector, forefront not only in aesthetics but also in convenience and efficiency. With the same overall dimensions (length remains of 3,595 mm), the reduction of the front overhang and the slight increase of the rear allow to make even more effective the habitable space.
The first public appearance of the new Kia Picanto will take place at the next Geneva Motor Show in early March.
