Here we are driving the Suzuki S-Cross 2016, renewed version of the Japanese SUV, now with a few tweaks in terms of design, but also an improved equipment and performance. Front, the S-Cross in 2016 is in fact now dominated by the new clamshell hood with double rib, the big chrome grille and new front bumper; among other innovations, we find even the 17″ alloy wheels with new 5-twin-spoke design (silver or BiColor) and, in the rear, the light clusters with LED technology.
As for the engines, here is the new 1.0 petrol and 1.4 BoosterJet Turbo direct injection of the fuel, in addition to the proven and reliable Turbo Diesel 1.6 DDiS unit; the first can be matched to the manual five or six-speed transmission and to the “new entry” represented by the automatic 6 A/T which ensures speed and fluidity response. The diesel engine is available with manual instead transmission or with the latest generation of DCT, both six-speed, while the traction may be two-wheel drive or all-wheel 4WD AllGrip.
In terms of equipment, the new Suzuki S-Cross offers richest amenities in comfort, multimedia and security equipment: here is, therefore, the Radar Brake Support and Adaptive Cruise Control technologies, the multimedia system with 7″ touch screen, heated seats and renewed interior finishes.
Available in three trim levels (Easy, Cool and Top), the new Suzuki S-Cross has a list (in Italy) of between 18,990 euros of the 1.0 BoosterJet 2WD Easy and the 28.090 Euro of 1.6 DDiS 4WD DCT Cool. Until 30 September, also the entrance version 1.0 BoosterJet Easy will be proposed to the launch promo price of 15,190 Euros.
